Mosaic at Mozaic
Pieces of Peace Tile Mosaic
Joan Oliveto, owner of a new restaurant, Mozaic, in Frankford left a message with the bartender at The Grey Lodge about the tile mosaics. She wanted to know if the person who did the Grey Lodge bathrooms would work with her to do a tile mosaic outside her new restaurant.

I told her that I did the bathrooms with Peggy, and that while Peggy wouldn't be available, I'd be happy to help. Since a lot of folks helped me when I was starting out, I said I'd do it for free as a Karma payback. This work, a collaboration between Joan and myself, was done during the summer of 2006. The theme is peace, which the neighborhood of Frankford could use more of.  

It was a lot fun to work on a mosaic on busy Frankford Avenue, and meeting the amazing diversity of people who live and work in Frankford.
